Jhakku Subedi, Bishnu Sapkota of ruling coalition won in Lumbini



Jhakku Subedi and other receive certificate of NA election 2024.

Dang, Jan 25: In the National Assembly elections, the candidates of the ruling coalition have won in Lumbini province.

Jhakku Prasad Subedi of CPN (Maoist Centre) and Bishnu Devi Sapkota of Nepali Congress have won the election. Subedi was on the other’s category and Sapkota from the women’s category.

In today’s election, Subedi and Sapkota, who became candidates from the alliance, defeated their closest competitors, Jhapendra Bahadur Gharti Chhetri and Tulsa KC, candidates of CPN (UML). Election Officer Kulprasad Pandey informed that Subedi won with 5,435 votes and Sapkota with 5,435 votes.

According to Election Officer Pandey, CPN (UML) candidates KC got 2,867 votes and Gharti Chhetri got 3,039 votes.

Similarly, Bijaya Laxmi Singh who became a candidate from RPP in women’s quota got 250 votes and Balgovind Chaudhary of Janamat Party got 250 votes in other quota.
