Kathmandu, Sept 15: The Judicial Council has recommended the names of 27 judges for the High Court. The Judiciary Council meeting held on Friday recommended the names of 18 district judges, 3 from the judicial services and 6 from advocates as judges of the High Court.
The Council recommended judges and advocates in various districts, including Shyam Kumar Bhattarai, who is the Secretary of the Inquiry Commission of Disappeared Persons, to be the judge of the High Court.
They will be appointed by the Chief Justice as per the recommendation of the Council. Similarly, Friday’s meeting also decided to transfer 34 High Court and 26 District Court judges.
