Karnali’s voter count crosses one million

Surkhet, Jan 5: Karnali Province has a total of 1,037,250 registered voters for the upcoming election to the House of Representatives (HoR) scheduled for March 5.

According to Nandaram Chaulagain, Information Officer at the Karnali Province Election Office, Surkhet district has the highest number of voters, totaling 248,943, while Dolpa has the lowest with 24,115 voters.

The voter distribution across other districts is as follows: Salyan has 162,449 voters, Dailekh 161,204, Jajarkot 107,091, Rukum Paschim 106,660, and Kalikot 84,646.

Similarly, Jumla has 71,739 voters, Humla 36,031, and Mugu 34,372 voters.

Chaulagain further informed that the province has 1,137 voting centres and 941 polling stations. In comparison, 908,433 voters were registered in Karnali Province during the HoR election held in 2079 BS. #nepal #voter
