Jhapa, March 29: The Mechi Highway has been fully blocked due to a landslide that occurred at Bakhor of Rong rural municipality-4 in Ilam district on Sunday evening.
The Highway was blocked since Sunday evening after the sudden landslide, according to Chandra Raut, Chief of Area Police Office, Budhabare.
Due to obstruction, a truck with registration no Pra 1-01-001 Kha 4334 heading towards Jhapa from Taplejung has been stranded on the road, he added.
However, no human casualty was reported in the incident, police said, adding that efforts were underway to remove the landslide debris and reopen the road and Highway. #nepal #rss
