Taplejung, April 29: An old man died after being struck by lightning last night in Sidingwa Rural Municipality of Taplejung district.
According to local police, a 60-year-old Shri Prasad Kadarya of Sidingwa-6, Mehele, died due to lightning. Police Inspector Kushram Karki of the District Police Office, said that Kadariya was struck by lightning while he was sitting at home. Karki said that the body will be brought to the district hospital today for an autopsy.
Just a few days ago, a child was killed in Maiwakhola Rural Municipality due to lightning.
