HETAUDA: An old man has been killed and another injured in a lightning strike in Makwanpur district last evening. The deceased has been identified as Jit Bahadur Gole, 65, of Raksirang Rural Municipality-8.
According to Tek Bahadur Karki, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Gole was seriously injured in the lightning strike. He died on the way to Hetauda for treatment.
Likewise, Thulimaya Rumba, 62, of Indrasarovar Rural Municipality-2 has also been injured in the lightning strike. Karki informed that she is undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital in Lalitpur.
