Tulasipur, July 20: Chief Minister of Lumbini Jokh Bahadur Mahara will seek the vote of confidence of the Provincial Assembly on Sunday.
He is going to take a vote of confidence in the 24th meeting of the fourth session of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly being held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, said secretary of Provincial Assembly, Durlav Kumar Pun.
As the power equation at the center changed, the UML withdrew its support to the government, requiring Chief Minister Mahara to prove a majority in the provincial assembly.
As in the centre, the UML and Congress are working to form a new government in Lumbini, with 29 MPs from UML and 27 from Congress
Similarly, the Maoist Center has 10 MPs, four each are from small parties RPP and Nagarik Unmukti party, three each from Lokatantrik Samajbadi Party and Janamat Party, two each from Ashok Rai’s Janata Samajbadi Party and Upendra Yadav’s Janata Samajbadi Party, and one each representing CPN (Unified Socialist) and Rastriya Janamorcha. There is one independent member.
With a total of 87 MPs, a majority in Lumbini requires the support of at least 44 MPs. #nepal #lumbini #province
