Malaysian Home Minister in three-day visit to Nepal

Kathmandu, Feb 3: Home Minister of Malaysia, Saifuddin Nasusan Ismail, arrived in Kathmandu in a three-day visit on Thursday evening.

Malaysia is one of the important foreign employment destinations for Nepali workers.

The Malaysian Home Minister is scheduled to hold an official meeting with Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Dol Prasad Aryal on Friday.

He is said to be talking to Nepali officials on foreign worker employment relaxation plan including better social protection measures to providing Nepali migrant workers.

Nepal has been requesting Malaysian side to provide their social security plan for Nepali migrant workers as well.

Malaysia has remained as one of the major destination country for  Nepali workers. According to reports nearly one million workers are there in Malaysia alone.

Ismail will return home coming Saturday.
