A twin-otter plane of Tara Air that went out of contact sine Sunday morning while flying to Jomsom from Pokhara has been detected in a wretched condition.
The plane carrying 22 passengers and three crew members was found at Patake Lake Sanosora in Thasang Rural Municipality, ward-2 of Mustang this morning.
Thasang rural municipality chairperson Pradeep Gauchan shared that Sumit Gauchan, a local of Lete, and other yarsa pickers had sent a photo showing wretched condition of the crashed plane.
However, the government has yet to confirm about this officially. After plane parts were seen broken at the bottom of Manapathi Mountain from distant area, the security personnel and locals had set out to the direction early this morning, chairperson Gauchan added.
Administrative Officer of District Administrative Office Mustang Devendra Raj Pandey informed that it has not been confirmed officially since the team comprising Nepal Army, Armed Police and Nepal Police personnel have not yet reached the site.
A team of around 100 security personnel that reached Yakkharka after a two-hour walk from Kowang last night had moved to the area nearby Manapathi mountain this morning.
The plane that flew from Pokhara to Jomsom at 9:55 on Sunday morning went out of contact after 10:11.
Although the search for the missing plane with 22 passengers and crew was intensified since Sunday afternoon, the situation was difficult due to inclement weather. RSS
