Kathmandu, Nov 4 : Nepal is participating in an international tourism fair scheduled to be held in Thessaloniki of Greece on November 8-10.
Nepal’s participation in the tourism expo abroad is to be coordinated by the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) and supported by the Nepal Tourism Board.
Through the participation, Nepal hopes to further the development of country’s tourism. NATTA shared information about this through a press meet here Sunday.
NATTA believes that Nepal’s participation in the international tourism expo would encourage tourist arrivals in the country, thus contributing to the Visit Nepal Year 2020 under which the government has set the goal of receiving two million tourists.
Ananda Adventure Trek Pvt Ltd, Appointment Nepal International Pvt Ltd, Columbus Travels and Tours Pvt Ltd, Koili Tours Pvt Ltd, Makalu Adventure Travels and Tours Pvt Ltd, MD Adventure Tours and Travels Pvt Ltd, Mission Nepal Holidays, Sayapatrai Travels Nepal Pvt Ltd, Swargadwari Travels and Tours Pvt Ltd are among those related organisations participating in the expo.
According to NATTA, this is the first time Nepal will be participating in the tourism fair in Europe. NTB officer Sitaram Dahal hopes that such type of participation would help promote Nepal’s tourism industry.
