Kathmandu, July 20: A general decline in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has been observed today. The NEPSE index decreased by 1.31 points to 2,163.92 points.
In today’s business, a total of 8,424,108 shares were traded through 54,954 transactions. Total turnover was Rs. 3,052,410,659.
The sub-indices of banking, development bank, hydropower production and processing and business groups have increased, while the sub-indices of the rest of the groups have decreased. Banking group increased by 1.25, development bank by 10.96, hydropower by 22.38, production and processing by 82.02 and business group by 177.66 points.
Also, the sub-index of non-life insurance group decreased by 132.07 and life insurance group by 122.06 points. Similarly, finance group 15.69, hotel and tourism group 21.46, investment 0.32, microfinance 25.29 and mutual fund decreased by 0.18 points.
In today’s trading, the share price of Bishal Bazar Company and Liberty Energy Company has a positive circuit, while the share price of Citizens Mutual Fund-2 and Kumari Equity Fund has a negative circuit.
