NEPSE gains 90.67 points on Thursday

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index gained 90.67 points on Thursday and closed at 2,506.68.

The index opened at 2,427.25 and did not trade at anything lower than that. The index gained in intraday action today. The market close is also the intraday high.

According to NEPSE, 16,622,763 shares traded hands via 65,174 transactions. The trading of 206 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.05 billion.

While the float index gained 6.2 points and closed at 172.77, the Sensitive index is at 451.46 after gaining 14.67 points.

Nepal Infrastructure Bank has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 53.23 crores. The units of Sunrise First Mutual Fund (SFMF) traded the most.

A total of 4 scrips have hit the 10% positive circuit breaker at the market-close. They are Chandragiri Hills , Liberty Energy Company , Suryodaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, and National Hydro Power Company.

Meanwhile, NMB 50 (NMB50) lost the most 3.45%.

All sectors gained today while the Trading sector gained the most 7.1%.
