Kathmandu, Feb 26: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a general improvement in today’s sharp ups and downs.
The NEPSE index increased by 4.55 points to 2027 points today. The index, which had fallen to the lowest point of 1,963, rose by a few points when the market closed.
According to NEPSE, 65,15,852 shares of 262 companies were bought and sold today. Today, the sub-indices of banking, life insurance, manufacturing and processing, mutual funds and business groups have decreased, while the sub-indices of other groups increased.
Banking group 11.91, life insurance group 13.96, product group 14.85, mutual fund 0.01 and business group decreased by 30.50 points. Surprisingly, the microfinance group’s sub-index has increased the most by 184.45 points.
Similarly, development bank group increased by 30.20 points, finance group by 23.90, hotel and tourism group by 72.21 and hydropower group by 18.88 points. Similarly, the sub-index of investment group increased by 0.39 points, non-life insurance group by 27.59 points and other groups by 8.34 points.
Today, the investors of Bijaya Laghubitta Financial Institution have earned the most per share at the rate of 7.94 percent.
