NEPSE loses 29.83 points on Thursday

KATHMANDU, Dec 24: The NEPSE index lost 9.83 points today and closed at 2,038.63. The index opened at 2,091.59 and lost in a steep decline. The intraday movement was downwards. The index made an intraday low at 2,025.65 and ultimately closed at 2,038.63.

According to sharesansar.com, 9,860,536 shares traded hands via 47,976 transactions. Trading of 204 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 5.36 Arba. While the float index lost 2.04 points and closed at 139.65, the Sensitive index is at 386.76 after losing 3.74 points.

Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 61.49 crores. The shares of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) traded the most.


Srijana Finance Limited (SFFIL) has proposed a 14.27% dividend for the fiscal year 2076/77.

The 237th meeting of the board of directors held today, i.e. Poush 09, has decided to distribute 13.59% bonus shares and the remaining amount in cash dividend for tax purposes. The paid-up capital of the company is Rs. 84,78,38,880. Thus, the bonus shares are worth Rs. 11,51,95,017 and the cash dividend is worth Rs. 57,59,751.


The IPO shares of Prabhu Life Insurance Limited will be allotted tomorrow. The allotment will be done at the premises of Siddhartha Capital, the issue manager, starting at 11 am. Prabhu Life Insurance Limited had issued 60,00,000 units worth Rs 60 crore as Initial Public Offering to the general public from Mangsir 29.
