Kathmandu: The Norvic International Hospital, a premium private sector hospital in Nepal, has started kidney transplant service.
For the past 30 years, Norvic, which has been committed to providing international standard health services, has also started kidney transplant services.
In this process, Norvic has successfully completed the kidney transplant of 2 people so far. A 66-year-old man undergoing treatment for kidney failure was successfully transplanted with a kidney donated by his 55-year-old wife, while another 54-year-old man was successfully transplanted with a kidney donated by his 30-year-old daughter, the hospital informed.
“We would like to inform you that this service will be expanded in the future”, the hospital officials said.
Norvic Hospital’s consultant Dr. Rakesh Burma, Dr. RK Agrawal, including a team of experts have conducted the transplant service.
“The first of the two successful kidney transplants was somewhat complicated. For the first time, a patient who underwent a kidney transplant in Norvic had complications including heart artery problems. However, due to the easy availability of standard treatment services for all kinds of health problems in Norvic, despite being complicated, transplants have been successfully carried out. Due to the fact that it is a multispecialty hospital, solutions to other health problems before and after kidney transplantation are also under one roof and the risks during transplantation in such centers are also reduced,” the hospital said.
Norvic Hospital has also informed that advanced the process of obtaining permission for the purpose of expanding liver transplant services.
Norvic Hospital is a health institution that has been providing world-class healthcare services since 1993. At present, the country’s first and only IVF (test tube baby) center with a genetic lab is also operating in Norvic.
Norvic Cosmetic and Derma Center with state-of-the-art equipment has also been operational since a few months ago.
