President Bhandari authenticate constitution amendment bill on new map



Kathmandu: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has authenticated the Constitution of Nepal (second amendment) Bill, 2077 on Thursday evening.

The bill had been presented to the President for authentication after being adopted by both the houses of the Federal Parliament.

The bill was authenticated as per Article 274 (10) of the Constitution, according to the Office of the President. The Bill was adopted by a two-thirds majority by the National Assembly, and by the House of Representatives on June 14.

With the authentication of the bill, Nepal formally endorses new political map of Nepal which includes Limpiyadhura, Lipulek and Kalapani of western Nepal.
