Pokhara, May 28: The mesmerizing sunrise viewed from Sarangkot, the tourism capital of Pokhara, has further increased the attraction for visitors.
In the morning hours, the golden rays of the sun rising from the lap of the Himalayas make the Pokhara Valley even more beautiful, drawing a significant crowd of both domestic and international tourists to witness the view. Especially in Sarangkot, which is famous for sunrise observation, a growing number of tourists can be seen from early morning.

Meanwhile, with extreme heat increasing in various northen states of India, Nepal’s cool and naturally beautiful destinations have become a preferred choice for Indian tourists. Tourism entrepreneurs say this trend is directly impacting Pokhara, with an increasing number of Indian visitors in hotels, restaurants, tourism businesses, and transport services in recent days.
Operation Manager of Hotel Annapurna View, Sarangkot, Manmohan Rimal, stated that there is currently a good flow of tourists in Sarangkot. He said, “Along with the sunrise, adventure tourism activities such as paragliding and zip-lining are also among the top choices for visitors in Sarangkot.”

He also informed that many domestic and foreign tourists are visiting Sarangkot to escape the heat of Pokhara city. “Hotel booking rates are increasing, and the tourism market is gaining momentum. If the weather remains favorable, tourism activities are expected to further increase in the coming days,” Rimal added.

Major tourist destinations in Pokhara such as Sarangkot, Fewa Lake, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, Begnas Lake, World Peace Pagoda, and Bindhyabasini Temple have seen a notable rise in the number of domestic and Indian tourists. Many visitors are traveling with their families, while some are also participating in adventure tourism activities.

According to tourism entrepreneurs, the arrival of Indian tourists during the summer season has had a positive impact on the hotel and tourism industry. They say that hotel booking rates are increasing and optimism is rising in the tourism market. If the weather remains favorable in the coming days, tourism activities are expected to grow further.

With its natural beauty, stunning Himalayan views, serene lakes, and pleasant climate, Pokhara is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for both Nepali and foreign, especially Indian, tourists.
