Fuzhou, China, Aug 12: A 20-day seminar titled “Seminar for Political Party Cadres from BRI Countries,” organized by the International Economic Cooperation Center of the Fujian Provincial Government, has commenced at the Grand Hotel in Fuzhou, Fujian Province.
The seminar brings together 25 participants from Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) member countries, including Nepal, Cambodia, Laos, Cameroon, Nigeria, South Sudan, Croatia, Gambia, and South Africa.
The opening session was inaugurated with a brief address by Huang An , Director-General of the International Economic Cooperation Center.

Director-General Huang emphasized China’s commitment to mutual benefit and equality, stating that multi-dimensional and practical cooperation would be adopted. He highlighted that Fujian Province has written a new chapter in history through its innovation, focusing on the digital economy, ecological development, and global vision.
He also recalled that current Chinese President Xi Jinping worked in Fujian Province for more than 17 years, underscoring the deep connection between the province and the President.
The seminar includes discussions under 15 thematic areas, with Fujian Province as a case study, as well as observation visits to various development-related sites.
On behalf of the participants, appreciation was extended to the organizers for hosting the seminar.
