Kathmandu, Oct 11: Bajhang district of western Nepal has experienced yet another earthquake in Thursday midnight.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring Research Center of the Department of Mines and Geology, an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 occurred at 12:22 midnight with its epicenter around Bhate river in Bajhang district.
Due to continuous earthquakes and aftershocks for the past few days and month, an atmosphere of panic has arisen in Bajhang area as well as loss of property. According to local journalists, after last night’s earthquake, people panicked and came out of their houses in the middle of the night.
Earlier on October 7, two earthquakes rocked Bajhang district and it’s surrounding which were measured 4.3 and 5.3 magnitude respectively.
On October 3, an earthquake of 6.3 magnitude damaged many houses of Bajhang and adjacent districts. The earthquake was also felt in Indian border towns, including Indian capital New Delhi.
