Kathmandu, Feb 5: Nepal Police has arrested two Hundi traders from Kathmandu with Rs 7,850,000 and a check of Rs 400,000.
Krishna Prasad Koirala, Superintendent of Police of Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office informed that they were arrested on the basis of a secret information that various persons were doing financial transactions (Hundi) without obtaining a license contrary to the order/instructions issued by Nepal Rastra Bank.
During surveillance, the special team of the office recovered a check of Rs. 400,000. Those who were arrested were Kishore Chaudhary and Dipendra Bahadur Malla of Kailali.
SP Koirala informed that it was found that Malla had been doing the business for five years and Chaudhary for four months. He said that they have been handed over to District Police Complex Kathmandu for necessary action as per Section 95 of Rastra Bank Act, 2058.
