Traffic congestion along Naubishe-Nagdhunga, kidney patient dies

DHADING, Sept 27: Due to long traffic jam along Naubise-Nagdhunga road section of Prithivi Highway, a kidney-patient who was being taken to Kathmandu from Rautahat for treatment died on Friday morning.

Ruplal Shah, aged 35, of Garuda, Rautahat breathed his last at Mahadev Beshi bazaar along the highway at around 5 am this morning. His relatives were taking him to the capital in the bus (Na 7 Kha 5364) which was stuck in the jam that started from 2 am. 

According to concerned officials, regular vehicular movement along the section has been affected for the last four days due to ongoing road maintenance. 

Following the incident, social media users have vented ire against the government for not repairing the crucial highway on time.
