Nawalpur, July 14: Two dead bodies were found at Triveni of Gandak barrage on Sunday evening. The police informed that they spotted two dead bodies in a canal linked to the Gandak barrage.
Information officer at District Police Office Nawalpur, Bed Bahadur Paudel, informed that two male dead bodies were found in a canal of Gandak barrage at Binayi Triveni rural municipality-7.
Poudel guessed that bodies could be of the passengers who went missing in the Simaltal bus accident. A six-member police team from Dumkibas was mobilized in the site where the bodies were recovered from.
The identity of the dead bodies has not been established to link them to Simaltal incident, so far. Two passenger buses were swept away by a landslide into the Trishuli River at Simaltal of Bharatupur-29, Chitwan on Friday morning.
Efforts are on to identify the corpses.
