10 more days of prohibition in KTM valley

KATHMANDU: The prohibitory order in effect in Kathmandu valley has been extended until July 25.

A joint meeting of the CDOs of the three districts in the valley decided to add 10 more days to the put the valley under the prohibitory order.

Shops and businesses will now be allowed to open until 7:00 in the evening, an one hour extension from the previous provision.

Crowd gathering activities like cinema, party palace, dance bar, stadium, museum, conference etc. remains prohibited. Home delivery from restaurants has also been extended until 7:00 pm.

Public and private transportation are allowed to function as previously, with passengers as per the respective capacity. Vehicles entering the valley will be allowed for essential task.

All other previous provisions have been continued including allowing pre-scheduled in-person examinations in educational institutions to take place, said CDO of Kathmandu Kali Prasad Parajuli.

However, more than 25 persons in one room is not allowed. Religious gatherings and cultural festivals in public also remained prohibited.
