Government transfers sixteen senior police officers

KATHMANDU: The government has transferred 16 Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police to different offices. The newly appointed Minister of Home Affairs Khagraj Adhikari has recommended for the transfer of these senior officers.

DIG Arun Kumar BC has been transferred to the State-1 Police Office.

Similarly, Umesh Ranjitkar has been transferred to State-2, Prakash Jung Karki to Bagmati, Dibesh Lohani to Gandaki, Mukundaraj Acharya to Lumbini, Ganesh Ayer to Karnali and Purushottam Kandel to Far-Western Police Office.

Basant Kumar Pant has been transferred to the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) while Dhiraj Pratap Singh has been transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

DIG Ghanshyam Aryal has been sent to the special bureau.
