INARUWA: Three persons have died in three accidents in Koshi village municipality-8 of Sunsari district. Two persons have been injured.
Three people were killed when a microbus (Hiace) hit a motorcycle and a pickup van at Koshi Rural Municipality-8 section of the East-West Highway on Sunday morning.
The vehicle (Ba 3 Kha 7224) heading from east to west had hit a motorcycle (Sa 6 Pa 4661) heading east. DSP Suman Timsina of State Traffic Police Office Itahari informed that the pickup van (Ko 1 Cha 9368) coming from the same direction was also hit by micro bus.
The deceased have been identified as Uday Sah, 28, of Dakneshwari Municipality-5, Saptari, Ram Prasad Sah, 40, of Biratnagar and Akshay Kumar Gupta, 38, of Biratnagar-7.
All the injured died while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Inaruwa.
The injured have been identified as Hiace driver Bibas Tamang, 35, of Bidur Municipality-13 and Hiace assitant Narayan Basyal, 25, of the same municipality. According to traffice police, the accident took place due to high speed while it was raining.
