CDCN Brings Winter Relief to 50 Underprivileged Students in Surkhet



Surkhet: With the generous support of donor Ongchu Sherpa, the Community Development Center Nepal (CDCN) has successfully implemented a winterization support program at Shree Nepal Rastriya Basic School, Chadanichauki, Birendranagar Municipality–9, Surkhet.

Under the initiative, jackets and school bags were distributed to 50 students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to help them cope with the winter season and continue their education with dignity.

Speaking during the distribution program, Ms. Radha Matangngi, Chairperson of CDCN, and Mr. Resham Nepali, Treasurer, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to extending similar community-focused initiatives in the future, particularly for children from marginalized families.

The program was attended by Mr. Rishi Giri, Ward Chairperson of Birendranagar Municipality–9, and Mr. Nim Bahadur Shah, former Principal of the school, whose presence underscored local support for educational and child welfare activities.

CDCN expressed its sincere appreciation to all dignitaries, supporters, and contributors involved in making the program a success. Special gratitude was extended to Mr. Hari Bahadur Budha, Acting Principal, and former Principal Mr. Nim Bahadur Shah of Shree Nepal Rastriya Basic School for their valuable cooperation and support in the effective implementation of the initiative.

The organization emphasized that continued collaboration among donors, schools, and local representatives remains vital to improving educational access and well-being for children in underserved communities. #nepal
