Mustang, Jan 28: Various parts in the district have witnessed heavy snowfall since last night. The hills and mountains are blanketed with snow, while most places had rainfall as well. The Kagbeni-Korala roadway has been blocked due to adverse weather.
The snow has piled up as high as two feet. Chief of Agriculture Section at Gharapjhong rural municipality, Roshan Thakali, informed that apple, buckwheat, barely and potato farming would thrive with the winter snow.
