Kathmandu, Dec 2: The first installment of funds for the construction of temporary housing for the Jajarkot earthquake survivors has been disbursed.
Spokesperson of the Nepal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority Dhruva Bahadur Khadka shared that almost Rs. 240 million rupees was released on Friday for the quake survivors’ housing. Earlier, 220.09 million has already been disbursed for the same.
The first installment has been sent for 18,328 survivors out of 28,527 verified beneficiaries. The beneficiaries receiving the amount include 3,309 in Jajarkot, 214 in Bajura, 14,224 in Rukum Paschim and 577 in Bajhang.
According to the NDRRMA spokesperson Khadka, funds are yet to be disbursed for 1,485 beneficiaries of Salyan and will be disbursed soon.
