Kathmandu, Jan 19: Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Ms Sunita Dangol, has assumed the responsibility of Acting Mayor.
She automatically took on the acting role after Mayor Balen Shah resigned from his post today.
According to the Local Government Operation Act, 2017, the Deputy Mayor is mandated to assume the role of Acting Mayor following the resignation of the Mayor.
After submitting his resignation, Mayor Shah proceeded to the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) office. #nepal #sunita
