CHITWAN: Three people, including a father and daughter, were killed when a scooter collided with a bus on the inner road of the Chitwan district on Saturday evening. All three who died were on scooter riders.
According to the Chitwan District Police Office, the accident took place at Bharatpur Metropolitan City-22 Patihani Pakaudi Bazaar at around 6:15 pm.
The deceased have been identified as Mohan Adhikari, 45, of Gitanagar, Bharatpur-6, his 17-year-old daughter Binisa and 17-year-old Divisa Adhikari of Mohan’s cousin. All three were riding a scooter (Na 40 Pa 7082) driven by Mohan.
According to DSP Surya Thapa, the scooter collided with a bus (Na 5 Kha 2150) coming from Jagatpur to Bharatpur. The injured were rushed to Bharatpur Hospital.
Police have arrested the bus driver.
