KATHMANDU: The Vice Chairman of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (UML) Bhim Rawal said that those who have continuously violated the party constitution are ashamed to ask for an explanation for party’s other leaders.

Addressing a gathering of students affiliated to the Madhav Nepal faction, Vice Chair Rawal said that the explanation should be furnished by party Chairman KP Sharma Oli and not by them. He said, “Where did the right to amend the constitution come from by trampling the articles of the statute made by the decision of the ninth general convention?”

He said that Oli’s decision to nominate non-party members as central members, dismiss the office bearers elected from the general convention and form a national general convention organizing committee was against the party’s statute. “People who work against the party constitution should be ashamed to ask for an explanation as to why you did not follow the discipline,” Rawal said, referring to party president Oli.

Now the Nepali people will ask Oli: why did the Nepali people dissolve the House of Representatives to Oli? Why the Citizenship Bill was not allowed to be introduced in the parliament?

Rawal termed the letter as an illegal letter of the illegal Central Committee.
