USG Alumni Entrepreneurship Mela Showcases Innovation and Business Growth in Nepal

KATHMANDU: The Nepal–U.S. Alumni Network successfully organized the Alumni Entrepreneurship Mela, celebrating innovation, collaboration, and the expanding economic contribution of U.S. Government (USG) exchange alumni in Nepal.

Speaking at the event, Cultural and Public Engagement Officer Erica Alexander highlighted the vital role of USG alumni in driving economic growth through entrepreneurship, job creation, and community-focused innovation. She emphasized that alumni-led initiatives are contributing to new business opportunities and strengthening Nepal’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The mela brought together more than 20 USG alumni entrepreneurs representing various U.S. exchange programs. Participants showcased their businesses, networked with fellow entrepreneurs, and explored potential partnerships within the Nepali market.

The event attracted over 1,500 participants, who gained insights from industry experts and government representatives on digital transformation, emerging market trends, and Nepal’s favorable business environment.

Reaffirming its support, the United States underscored its commitment to fostering a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem that benefits both Nepali and U.S. companies. This partnership continues to create avenues for collaboration, technology exchange, and market expansion in Nepal’s rapidly growing business landscape. #Nepal
