Yadav faction of RJP decides to join govt



KATHMANDU: A faction of Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) led by Upendra Yadav has decided to join the government. The parliamentary party meeting of the faction held Saturday took this decision.

The parliamentary party meeting was attended by most of the lawmakers representing the party. Lawmaker Mohammad Istiyak Rai informed that the meeting was attended by 19 lawmakers- majority in the total 31 lawmakers of the party.

The party would join the government by raising the party issues based on common minimum programme. Party sources say at least four MPs has left Mahantha Thakur faction of RJP and joined Upendra Yadav faction of RJP.

The reinstated House of Representatives is meeting next day.

According to sources, the RJP has decided to claim for 7 ministries in the Deuba-cabinet.
