KATHMANDU: A ruling CPN (UML) leader Beduram Bhusal has written a letter to the Parliament Secretariat asking him to be treated as an independent MP.
Bhusal, who is a member of the National Assembly, has written a letter to the Parliament Secretariat stating that he was an independent MP.
Leader Bhusal said that he was elected as the then Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and accordingly he wrote to the Parliament Secretariat to remain independent.
Bhusal’s decision came at a time when antagonism within the CPN-UML was at its peak. He was elected a member of the National Assembly as the then NCP. In the letter, he claimed that he was without a party after the Supreme Court dissolved the NCP. In the UML, he is known as a leader close to Madhav Kumar Nepal.
