CPN (UML) Chairman Oli and senior leader Nepal meet in Dhumbarahi



KATHMANDU: Breaking a four-month-long clash, the CPN (UML) is engaged in top-level discussions today. Leaders including Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal have participated in the ongoing discussion at the UML Central Office, Dhumbarahi.

After the Supreme Court’s decision, the unity with the Maoist center has reached its pre-eminent level.

Prime Minister and Chairman Oli had invited Nepal for the meeting. Chairman Oli, General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel, Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Poudel, Secretary Pradeep Gyawali and Standing Committee Member Subash Nemwang are participating in the discussion while Madhav Kumar Nepal, Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal, Deputy General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal and Standing Committee Member Raghuji Pant are also taking part from Nepal group. It is said that discussions were held on Oli’s initiative to prevent the party from splitting.

Making the photo of the discussion public, UML leader Bishnu Rijal wrote on social media that there is no other easy way but dialogue and consensus. The solution is not impossible with the realization that the responsibility of building the CPN (UML) is not only in our shoulders.

After the meeting, leader Raghuji Pant clarified that the Nepal faction raised their concern on party’s operation.
