Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand extended thanks to the home administration, security agencies’ chiefs, Chief District Officers and security in-charge of Kathmandu Valley districts for providing security arrangement by keeping patience in the struggle waged against the US grant project, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact.
Following the parliamentary endorsement of MCC by majority of votes of the House of Representatives (HoR) members, Home Minister Khand telephoned Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey, Nepal Police IGP Shailesh Thapa, Armed Police Force IGP Shailendra Khanal, Security Coordination Division Chief at Home Ministry, Joint Secretary Fanindra Mani Pokharel, CDOs of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur, Govinda Rijal, Ghanashyam Upadhyay and Rudra Devi Sharma as well as Valley security agencies’ chiefs on Sunday night to extend his gratefulness for better coordination and performance, shared Khand’s press coordinator Madhusudan Bhattarai.
The Home Minister also lauded the security personnel for their round the clock efforts for security arrangement by maintaining maximum flexibility. “Home Minister Khand extended thanks from his end to the security mechanisms and personnel for providing security arrangement by maintaining patience in the struggle against MCC”, shared Chief of Security Coordination Division at Home Ministry, Pokharel, also the spokesperson of the ministry.
Home Minister Khand also extended best wishes for the speedy recovery of the security personnel and agitators who sustained injuries during clash in course of the struggle
