KATHMANDU: Public buses have started plying in Kathmandu Valley since Tuesday morning as a odd-even basis.
As per the decision of the Chief District Officers of the Kathmandu Valley on Monday, the public buses have come into operation nearly two months later.
The CDOs of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur had decided to permit public buses with more than 25 seats from 6 am to 7 pm.
Necessary health security arrangements will also have to be made in the bus. The bus driver, assistant must wear mask and globe.
Public transport has not been able to operate in the Kathmandu Valley since April 29 after the ban on coronavirus (Covid-19) increased.
In the Kathmandu Valley, private vehicles have already come into operation according to the odd-even system.
