RSP pledges stronger collaboration with media: Parajuli

Kathmandu, July 13: Deputy Parliamentary Party Leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Ganesh Parajuli, has said the party has no intention of controlling the mass media and remains committed to strengthening cooperation with journalists.

Speaking at an interaction programme with journalists covering parliamentary affairs on Monday, Parajuli emphasized that a free and responsible media plays a vital role in strengthening democracy. He said the RSP values the media’s contribution to promoting transparency, accountability and informed public discourse.

RSP Chief Whip Kabindra Burlakoti said the party is committed to delivering results in line with the mandate given by the people and urged the media to support its constructive initiatives through fair and objective reporting.

Similarly, RSP Whip Prakash Chandra Pariyar said the party would continue to strengthen cooperation with the media while actively participating in the parliamentary process.

During the discussion, Manoj Satyal, President of the Parliamentary Affairs Journalists Society, and Jeevan Bhandari, President of the Online TV Journalists Association, highlighted the important role journalists play in parliamentary reporting and shared their experiences covering legislative affairs.

Chairs of various parliamentary committees also participated in the interaction, which focused on strengthening communication and cooperation between lawmakers and the media. #nepal
