KATHMANDU: The CPN (UML) Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that stern action will be taken against the rebellious leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and his supporters.

Addressing a meeting of the party’s General Convention organizing committee, Chairman Oli said stern action would be taken against leaders including Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Referring to the floor cross made by the Madhav group in Karnali State, he said, “Madhav Nepal has acted in an undemocratic, non-parliamentary and chaotic manner.

The party will take stern action against the tendency to throw the chaotic, unstable, extremely deadly, communist movement into the abyss.”

He accused the Nepal group of trying to put the CPN (UML) at Prachanda’s feet and saying that they have been repeatedly saying to cross the floor and form a new government led by non-communists including Nepali Congress.

Prime Minister Oli accused CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda of having a double standard. He has accused Prachanda of talking about patriotism on the one hand and treasonous acts on the other.

“On the one hand, talking about justice and good governance, but on the other hand, criminal acts and corruption?” said Prime Minister Oli.

Oli claimed that the people will never forget but give them justice.
