Kathmandu, July 14: Monsoon wind is active across the country at present. The low pressure belt of monsoon is near southern plains of Nepal, north to the average range.
The Weather Forecasting Division informed that it was currently raining in most of the places in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, while one to two places of Lumbini and Karnali Provinces were having light to moderate rain.
The weather service forecast mostly cloudy weather in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces, while Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces will be generally cloudy today.
Moderate rainfall coupled with thunder and lightning is expected in some places of mountainous region in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces and in few places of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces later today.
Most of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, and some places of Madhes Province, hilly regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim and Karnali Provinces are predicted to have moderate rainfall with lightning.
Few places in hilly regions and one to two places in southern plains of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces are likely to have heavy rainfall. Even one to two places in hilly region of Lumbini Province will have similar weather today.
