KATHMANDU: District Administration Office, Kathmandu has requested people playing Holi in public places in Kathmandu.
Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli, said that people have been banned from playing Holi in public places on the Holi full moon as the rate of covid-19 infection is increasing.
Similarly, those who do not wear masks and do not meet the health standards while moving in public places will be punished according to the Infectious Diseases Act, 2020 BS, said Chief District Officer Parajuli.
In order to reduce the increasing rate of infection in the Kathmandu Valley, it is mandatory to adhere to health standards, wear masks, use sanitizer, maintain physical distance, conduct daily activities and wash hands from time to time, CDO Parajuli has requested.
He also said that it has been decided to monitor the condition of quarantine and isolation centers set up for the prevention and control of covid through all local levels.
Parajuli also requested to make arrangements for the students to wear masks, manage the classroom accordingly, use sanitizer and wash their hands while the school is in operation.
